Civil Services 2014: 4 out of Top 5 Positions grabbed by Women

Civil-Services-2014Women power ruled the roost at UPSC Civil Services 2014 examinations, as four out of top five positions went to women candidates. Ira Singhal topped the exams, while Renu Raj, Nidhi gupta and Vandana Rao secured the next three positions. Suharsha Bhagat, ranked 5, is top male candidate in the list.

In total, 1,236 candidates have been declared qualified for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services. 254 candidates have been kept in a consolidated reserved list.

180 candidates have been recommended to IAS, while 32 will be in the IFS. 150 candidates will get job in IPS, while 710 candidates have been recommended for Group ‘A’ services. 292 will be in Group ‘B’ services.
