As the country grapples with oxygen shortage, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik dialed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assured him of cooperation.
“It is a war-like situation and Odisha will extend all cooperation in the fight against Covid at the national level including ramping up oxygen production to assist other states in this emergency,” the CM said.
This comes on a day when the Chief Minister was praised by his Delhi and Maharashtra counterparts for entrusting an officer to ensure supply of oxygen.
“20 tonnes medical oxygen on way to Visakhapatnam from Angul. Odisha Police escorting for prompt and unhindered transportation so as to reach thousands of needy patients without any delay,” Odisha Police tweeted.
