#MeToo: MJ Akbar files defamation case against Woman Journalist

ONI Bureau:  Former editor and junior Foreign Minister M.J. Akbar on Monday filed a criminal defamation complaint against a journalist, Priya Ramani, who had accused him of sexual harassment.

Though several women journalists have allegedly accused Union Minister Akbar of sexual harassment when he was an Editor, Ramani was one of the first women to have accused Akbar.

After returning from Nigeria on Sunday, Akbar refuted the #MeToo allegations against him, said them all baseless and false.
