Cyclone Titli: ECoR suspends Train services between Khurda Road & Vizianagaram

ONI Bureau:  In view of the very severe cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ to affect North Andhra Pradesh & South Odisha coasts, the East Coast Railways (ECoR) has suspended train services between Khurda Road and Vizianagaram from both the directions from 10 pm on Wednesday.

Uttarpradesh Trains from Howrah/Kharagpur side will also not be allowed from Bhadrak after 5:15 pm till further notice.

Similarly, down trains from Hyderabad/Visakhapatnam side will not be allowed from Duvvada after 6:40 pm & no movement of passenger trains will take place between Khurda Road and Vizianagaram section after 10 pm, till further advice.

Railways also cancelled Group-D examination scheduled to be held on October 11 and 12 in view of Very Severe Cyclonic storm.

In view of very eaavy rain in Puri, the timings of the following trains have been rescheduled as per ECoR decision

  • 20813 Puri-Jodhpur Express from Puri will leave at 7.45 pm instead of 5.55 pm.
  • 18405 Puri-Ahmedabad Express from Puri will leave at 9.25 pm instead of 6.20 pm
  • 18425 Puri-Durg Express from Puri will leave at 11.30 pm instead of 6.30 pm
  • 12882 Puri-Howrah Garib Rath Express will leave Puri at 5 am on Thursday instead of 10.10 am on Thursday.

Five IndiGo flight services from Bhubaneswar to Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Mumbai suspended for tomorrow.
