ONI Bureau: Former IAS Officer Aparajita Sarangi, who recently joined the BJP in New Delhi in the presence of party President Amit Shah, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP’s Odisha unit President Basant Panda, was given a rousing welcome upon arrival in Bhubaneswar this morning.
While talking to mediapersons, Aparajita Sarangi made it clear that she is not in favour of targeting individuals in politics. “I am here to do clean and positive politics. That’s the facet of my personality. I won’t do negative politics. I would like to discuss what I can do or my party can do for the people and the State,” she said. She further added that it’s for the party to decide what role she would be given.
“I am the daughter-in-law (Bohu) of Odisha. It’s my Karmabhoomi. I will stay here and serve the people,” she added.
Aparajita Sarangi paid obeisance to Lord Lingaraj at his abode and then visited Bindu Sagar lake. She expressed concerns over the lack of cleanliness in the area and quality of water at the lake.
