Iron Rod Pierced Into Nostrils, Results In Death

In a very strange incident at Balugaon in Nayagarh district, a man was killed after another person pierced his nostrils with an irregular rod.
The dead person has been identified as Pramod Parida of Bodapada village under Sadar Police limits.
As per sources, a verbal spat occurred between Pramod and the accused over the consumption of narcotics. The verbal fight took ugly which prompted the accused in a fit of rage to pierc an iron rod into Pramod’s nostrils which resulted in his death.

Police reached the spot on being informed and sent the body for post mortem. A detailed investigation is underway.
