Low Pressure may cause heavy Rain in Odisha in next 24 hours

A low pressure formed over northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-West Bengal coast may bring heavy rain and thundershowers in most parts of coastal and north Odisha in the next 24 hours, according to the state meteorological office.

Under the influence of low pressure, rainfall will occur at most places over Odisha while heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur at one or two places over interior and coastal Odisha.

Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea in the coastal areas as the surface wind from northwest direction will be reaching at the speed of 30-40 kmph and a strong blast of wind speed of 50 kmph will raise the tidal wave up to 3-4 metres.
