In an attempt to match the Centre in all its pro-people and populist schemes, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has decided to launch the roll out phase of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) in Bhubaneswar on January 28.
The news was confirmed by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma, who held a review meeting on the upcoming Food Security Mission. The Minister revealed that the pilot phase initiated in BMC on September 22, has been completed.
All beneficiaries in Odisha under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), will be identified during the rollout phase. That should be completed by August 2015. CM Naveen Patnaik will also distribute new digitized ration cards to the beneficiaries on January 28.
