Odisha Crime Branch questions 3 Relatives in Astaranga Murder Case

Astaranga policeAstaranga, Sep 25: Investigating into the Astaranga Murder Case, Odisha Crime Branch team today questioned three relatives of deceased Dinabandhu Mallick. According to reports, two nephews and brother of Mallic deposed before the sleuths today.

A team of eight Crime Branch officials and fore State Forensic Lab reached Dinadiyan village in Astaranga on Wednesday evening. They officials inspected the house where the family members were murdered. They have also taken samples of blood and finger prints on some articles.

Villagers demanded immediate arrested the culprits those were involved in the murder case and protested in the village. However, after assurance from the officials of action against culprits, villagers ended their stir.

It is noteworthy that, Dinabandhu Mallick, a retired officer, his wife and two daughters were murdered at their home. On Wednesday, the state government had asked Crime Branch to probe into the murder case.
