ONI Bureau: The Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) on Monday announced that it will launch ‘Jan Satyagraha Padayatra’ starting from October 29 to November 5 demanding price for their agricultural produce, prestige and pension.
NNKS National Co-ordinator Akshay Kumar informed that one padayatra will begin from Kuakhia in Jajpur district and another from Balugaon in Khurda district.
Meantime, over 3 lakhs of farmers will congregate in Bhubaneswar on November 5 in order to put pressure on the State government to fulfill long-standing demand of the farmers in the State.
Their demand includes of Rs 5,000 per month pension to around 36 lakh poor farmers across the State.
