Odisha Govt to construct Cyclone Shelters in non-coastal dists

ONI Bureau:   After learning it hard from cyclone Titli that had ravaged Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada districts, the State Disaster Management Authority will now construct cyclone shelters and capacity building in non-coastal districts as done in the coastal districts in a time bound manner.

A decision in this regard was taken at the meeting of the State Executive Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the State Secretariat yesterday.

Earlier on Monday, the State Government approved damage assistance of Rs 2770 crore for the cyclone Titli hit districts of Odisha.
