President releases Commemorative Coins of Rs 10 and Rs 1,000 on Lord Jagannath

ONI Bureau:  After seeking blessings of Lord Jagannath at the 12th century Puri Jagannath temple this morning with first lady Savita Kovind, President Ram Nath Kovind addressed at centenary celebrations of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan in Puri on Sunday.

President Kovind released the commemorative coins of Rs 10 and Rs 1,000 on Lord Jagannath’s Nabakalebara festival.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan, Puri Collector Aravind Agarwal, State Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty and Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Pradeep Jena accompanied the President.

Worth mentioning, earlier, the Government of India had announced for the release of Rs 10 and Rs 1,000 denominations coins on deities including Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra.
