Public Bicycle Sharing Project in Smart City Bhubaneswar soon

ONI Bureau:  Under the Smart City mission, the public bicycle-sharing (PBS) project set to be launched in Bhubaneswar before the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018.

With easy booking, low charges and zero pollution, residents of the capital city will soon experience pollution-free public bicycle ride.

A total of 2000 bicycles ordered under the project have started arriving in the city.

This project will provide Mobile App based services to users to locate and use a bicycle. The bicycles would also be digitally mapped based on global positioning system (GPS) locations.

Earlier, the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited has given tender to three companies – Hexi Bikes , Yaana and Yulu Bikes to provide 1000, 500 and 500 bicycles respectively for the ambitious project.
