Ragging Allegations By Two Students From OUAT

On Tuesday, two first-year students from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) has alleged of seniors ragging them. The students have lodged a complaint at Khandagiri Police station.
According to reports, the two first-year students have alleged that for the past six months they have been subjected to torture by the seniors wherein they were regularly beaten with iron rods and were made to stand in the scorching heat. The students also complained of the college authorities not taking action against the seniors.

As per sources, the Dean of OUAT in his explanation said that the harassed students never brought this matter into light; hence the college officials remained uninformed. He further said that the college strongly opposes against ragging and shall take strict action against the accused after the investigation.
