Social Housing Schemes expedited in Bhubaneswar
The construction of public utilities and much sought for social housing schemes in Bhubaneswar has been expedited with allotment of land by General Administration Department for these purposes. Site Selection and land allotment committee held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sri Gokul Chandra Pati at the secretariat conference hall on Tuesday, have given in principle approval to 22 such projects.
The Principal Secretary GA Sri Niten Chandra presented the proposed projects and outlined the issues for discussion. Considering the project proposals, Chief Secretary Sri Pati has advised to make economic use of land by making realistic assessment of the requirement of land for various projects, offices, social housing schemes and residential complexes.
The project proposers have been advised to raise their construction vertically on the minimum space. They have also been directed to ground the project and start real construction activities within one year of the allotment of land failing which Govt will review the allotment for cancellation.
The projects like social housing scheme at Dumuduma, construction of 33/11kv primary substation in Chandrasekharpur and Gadakana, construction of reservoir & pump house at Patrapada, developing of commercial center at Jharpada, Construction of Night Shelters in Bomikhal, Chandrasekharpur, Ghatikia and Ashok Nagar, establishment of Urban PHC Under NUHM in Patia, Chandrasekharpur, Pokhariput, Ghatikia and Samantapuri; construction of Pumping Station at Mancheswar, construction of Social Housing Schemes in Patrapada, Bhagabanpur, Subudhipur and Paikrapur; Construction of Pumping Station in Baramunda, establishment of prefabricated fish selling kiosks, Construction of Vigilance Cell Unit and Staff Quarter in Chandrasekharpur, Installation of 33/11 KV Primary substation at Ashok Nagar, construction of Regional Office for Health & Family Welfare , Bhubaneswar; Head Quarter Eastern Air Force for creation of Infrastructure and associated facilities to undertake Disaster Relief Mission; Construction of CBI Residential Complex in Chadrasekharpur and construction of Court Guest House at Bapuji Nagar been approved in principle by the committee.
It has been decided that the lands will be allocated after getting details of the project from the project developers along with timelines for commencement and completion. Law Secretary Sri Mihir Ranjan Parida, Director of Estates Sri Ram Narayan Dash along with senior officers from respective departments participated in discussions.
