Very Severe Cyclone Yaas Makes Landfall in Odisha

Very Severe Cyclone Yaas is expected to cross south Balasore in Odisha coast by Wednesday afternoon. Met Department confirmed that the landfall process began around 8.30am.

The wind speed was reported to be 130 to 140kmph, gusting upto 155kmph.

For the safety of people, the district administration in Balasore has advised people not to venture outside till 5pm.

So far, no report of any casualty has come to the fore.

For early restoration of normalcy, NDRF is already engaged in clearing the road from debris.
