ONI Bureau: After Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda and former Satyabadi MLA Rama Ranjan Baliarsingh, it’s the turn of former Dhenkanal MLA Nabin Nanda fires fresh salvo, saying all is not well within the party.

“The party is not functioning properly. CM Naveen Patnaik remains in dark on most issues. That may create further trouble for the party. Many leaders and cadres are upset with the party’s affair,” he said.

“There have been allegations that Pandian is at the helm of affairs and controlling the party. I am not sure. It’s the CM’s prerogative to decide who he would entrust the task. When we talk about Pandian, sometimes he gives good suggestions too. As long as things go right, nobody would question. However, if things go bad, people in charge would be made accountable,” he added.

Nabin Nanda further added that leaders are within the BJD are disgruntled and drifting away. If such things continue, party could suffer losses, he said adding he still remains with the BJD, but is hardly consulted or invited to party events. He also urged the CM to take all leaders into account and not let them move away from the party.

Meanwhile, Odisha Minister Surjya Narayan Patro clarified that Nabin Nanda is not involved in party work for long, so his views should not be given more importance.

Nabin Nanda hit back at Surjya Patro, asking him to clarify when he was expelled from the party.
