Odisha Govt to arrest quarantine violators
Odisha Government has issued tough action against the defaulters and returnees violating quarantine norms. Quarantine defaulters will be downshifted to different district quarantine centres and quarantine period will be prolonged. Additionally, they will be arrested & the govt incentives will not be granted to them. Asit Tripathy, the Odisha Chief Secretary, declared these norms and issues in a media briefing.
Chief Secy Asit Tripathy further stated the following:
- Several vehicles are not heeding to the routes prescribed by Odisha Govt.
- Stringent steps will be taken if the paths are not followed properly.
- Buses will be seized & quarantine period will be increased.
- Buses without passes and overcrowded buses carrying stranded people of Odisha will not be allowed inside Odisha.
